1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing the ST8US platform (st8us.co.za), creating an account, or using our digital business cards, 3D cubes, and biolink services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.
2. User Accounts & Security
2.1 Registration
Users must provide accurate information during registration, including a valid email address. Account creation involves a mandatory PIN verification process to ensure email ownership.
2.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. ST8US provides tools for password management and account deletion (the "Danger Zone"), which are final and irreversible.
2.3 Session Tracking
For security and functionality, ST8US tracks user sessions and IP addresses. Attempting to bypass session security or manipulate IP-based tracking is strictly prohibited.
3. Digital Identity Services
3.1 3D Cube & Biolinks
Users are granted a non-exclusive right to customize their 3D interactive cubes and biolinks. This includes uploading images, setting custom backgrounds (including blurred filters), and managing external links.
3.2 Short URLs & Aliases
ST8US provides a link shortening service. Custom aliases (3-10 characters) are subject to availability and must not infringe on trademarks, contain offensive language, or be used for deceptive purposes.
3.3 QR Code Usage
ST8US provides dynamic QR codes. While we offer customization for QR cards, the physical placement of these codes (e.g., on vinyl stickers in public spaces) is the sole responsibility of the user. Users must comply with local laws regarding physical advertising.
4. Content & Conduct
- Infringement of intellectual property rights.
- Defamation of character or hate speech.
- Scams, phishing, or fraudulent schemes.
- Incitement of violence or civil unrest.
- Inappropriate or sexually explicit material.
ST8US provides a "Report this post" feature for visitors. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account found in violation of these standards without prior notice.
5. Lead Generation & Analytics
5.1 Lead Capture
Our "Leave a Message" and "Save Contact" features allow users to collect data from visitors. Users agree to handle this data ethically and in compliance with local privacy laws (such as POPIA or GDPR).
5.2 Analytics Data
ST8US provides analytics including total visits, unique IPs, device types, and referrers. This data is provided for informational purposes only, and we do not guarantee 100% accuracy due to browser privacy settings and ad-blockers.
6. Limitation of Liability
ST8US is provided "as is." We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, whether in an action in contract or tort, arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our platform.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via the Account Settings. Upon deletion, all data, links, and content associated with your account will be permanently removed from our active databases. ST8US reserves the right to terminate accounts that remain inactive for extended periods or violate these terms.
